This photo is in the finished basement of the house. There were staging areas for each kid where the stuff they were to get was accumulated. The moving crew spent the morning boxing and organizing stuff and the afternoon loading. Mom had the hardest job.
Hey Brother - I think this is such a wonderful picture, it tells the story from Mom's point of view in one instant . . . I can feel her emotions just looking at the photo . . . truly a wonderful shot. I am very happy that Mom has now embraced her new home at BC.
The posts on this web log are mostly photos of objects that came from my parent's home when they moved in October 2006. It felt like my world was being taken apart. I didn't really want all this stuff. I liked it where it was; in John and Emily's house. So with this blog I guess I'm trying to put that world back together again. That can't be done. But through the objects in the photos in these "posts," and most importantly through the "comments" and "posts" that other family members add, a new world of memories, recollections and stories can be gathered.

I like this alternate layout because it's the comments, the stories about the stuff, that are the heart of this blog. Without the stories, it's just stuff. In this alternate layout click on NEWER POST or OLDER POST to navigate. Use HOME to return to the standard layout.
